You Are Not Alone
Today was a travel day, and an exciting one at that albeit for all the wrong reasons. Cat got out of the bag (literally), and we spent at least an hour frantically searching while I was wailing in the background. Thankfully all turned out well in the end (little devil found a hiding place in the RV somewhere) and all animals are in-hand. So, as I sit here this PM sipping my well-earned Zin and eatig dark chocolate (purely for the antioxidants, mind you), I am reminded of friends and family and people I am thankful for.
So, just for today I wanted to go off-topic just a tad highlight a friend of mine who’s doing a journey that I consider even more crazy than our own. I met this man on a trek in Nepal a few years back. We share a love of photography and slow walking (we stayed firmly at the back of the pack the whole 1-month we were there) and we’ve remained fast friends ever since. His latest adventure is a solo-bike ride across the US to raise money for scholarships in India. And, he’s a grandfather no less. Take a look and prepare to be impressed…I certainly am:

We are in Desert Palm Springs today (near Joshua Tree). Plan to spend a week or so here and then off to Phenix before we head North.

When you make it to Scottsdale and want to hike Pinnacle Peak, look to your right off the trail and there is Kim’s folks house. I am sure Shary would make you a nice lunch…!
