Video Overview – Alafia River State Park, Lithia FL
As promised we here is a quick ~7 min video overview of Alafia River State Park (the park we stayed at for the week of thanksgiving). It’s a small park located ~45 mins SE of Tampa and it’s kind of in the middle of nowhere, but as a place to hang and relax we just love it . The campsites, greenery and hiking trails are all fabulous, plus it’s got some of the raddest mountain biking trails in the entire state. It’s one of the first places we look to stay everytime we come through FL and we’ll definitely be back again.

For those who prefer the written word, I also completely updated my original 2010 written review including new info and new photos of the campground and sites. You can read the updated review HERE.

Great review, thanks for posting it. As we are avid mtn bikers, this campground is going on our short list!

Oh you’ll love it. Paul’s buddy Freddie is an avid mountain biker and he raves about the trails here. The few “wimpy” trails I tried were excellent.

Bet that your pocket book is missing the “Boondocking”… We are in south Texas and heading toward Florida over the next 3 months. Really missing the West.

We are TOTALLY missing the west….and it’s not just our pocket-book talking 🙂
